Gifted & Talented Full Length Pre-Test

Gifted and Talented Pre-test allows to identify child's overall current level of test readiness and particular types of questions that have to be elaborated.

Full Length Pre-Test is following length and structure of an actual DOE Gifted and Talented test. It consists of 48 NNAT-2 questions and 30 OLSAT questions. NNAT-2 (Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test, 2nd Edition) is a non-verbal part of the test, and OLSAT (Otis-Lennon School Ability Test) includes verbal test items. There is no time limitation for taking the test, but it usually takes between 30 minutes and one hour.

Gifted & Talented Brief/ Half Length Pre-Test

Gifted and Talented Brief/Half Length Pre-test is offered before starting test prep. It allows to identify child's understanding of the test concepts and helps to identify particular test sections that have to be elaborated.

BriefPre-Test is following structure of an actual DOE Gifted and Talented test. It consists of 24 NNAT-2 questions and 15 OLSAT questions. NNAT-2 (Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test, 2nd Edition) is a nnon-verbal part of the test, and OLSAT (Otis-Lennon School Ability Test) includes verbal test items. There is no time limitation for taking the test, but it usually takes between 20 and 40 minutes.

Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale; IQ test

Stanford-Binet test is among the most reliable standardized tests used in education. Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale is a test that assess person's intelligence through five factors of cognitive ability:

Each of these factors is given a weight and the combined score. It's often reduced to a ratio known commonly as the IQ (Intelligence Quotient). Individuals with high scores are usually gifted, and those with low scores often face different range of cognitive delays. There is no time limitation for taking the test, but it usually takes between 30 minutes and one hour.

Stanford-Binet Components Related IQ Assessment

Stanford-Binet test is used by the Hunter College Elementary School to determine among the other factors child's eligibility for the school enrollment. However, the school's requirement is that "the child has neither been tested with, nor been exposed to, any test-related materials from the SB in the last year".

This assessment contains similar questions and materials that are used for the Stanford-Binet test. Just for your information, Stanford-Binet scale related materials and questions are commonly used in the Gifted and Talented test sections (NNAT-2 and OLSAT), educational games, puzzles, sorters, and flash cards accessible for the public purchase. There is no time limitation for taking the test, but it usually takes between 30 minutes and one hour.

Developmental Assessment of Young Children — Second Edition (DAYC-2)

The DAYC-2 is a popular test used to identify children from birth through ages 5-11 with possible delays in the following domains:

DAYC-2 allows to identify Each of the five domains reflects an area mandated for assessment and early intervention for young children in IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act). The domains can be assessed independently, so examiners may test only the domains that interest them or test all five domains when a measure of general development is desired. Standard scores, percentile ranks, and age equivalents are provided for each domain, and for overall general development if all five domains are tested.
